Sweet Shot

I'll try to keep this blog to photo sessions... but I may just post a sweet shot or 365 photo every once in awhile... here's the first!
Sweet Shot Day
I'm trying not to repost pictures for my sweet shot (otherwise I would have posted the chair/guitar or the one of Jay and the chair up against the wall- you can check those out too though). So here's a new shot for the week. I love warm weather and shooting outside!

Jay Peasley Live

I got to shoot another member of the P family today. Check out Jay's music here then check out his pics below. We got some good shots and didn't even get asked to leave anyone's property. I'd say that's a successful day. Thanks, Jay!!

Our Other Family

I'd been begging this beautiful family to let me take their pictures for a long time. Judging by the fact that I drug them out into the cold for outdoor shots and they had to be very patient with a lighting issue I was having... it will probably take a lot of begging before they'll let me do pictures again. Ha. Thankfully, they are some of our bestest friends and we love these guys. So I'm hoping they'll forgive me soon. :) Thanks for yet another fun time, P family!

Mom

I mentioned to my mom the week before her (big) birthday that I wanted to take some pictures of her on the 'big' day. To my surprise, she actually agreed! AND I even got her to smile for a few of them! :) Although as we were going through them, she still liked the non-smiling one. I'll take it!
We got these right before heading out for what she thought was dinner with some of her kids. This, of course, was right before her big surprise party. :)

M&M All Dressed Up for Easter

Remember these two?
They are two of the sweetest, most polite, loveyest (oh shush, red squiggly), silliest little girls I know. And look at what great little models they are. Can you believe they are two?

Cousins

My cousin's little babe. Isn't he a doll!?!

And there's one more on my project365.

The Park

A trip to the park is always the best way to kickstart spring.
Especially when its with these two.
And it's even better when they stop playing long enough (but just barely) to smile for me.

Zane

Remember Zane from the basketball game (okay, two games if you count the one he was at pre-birth)? His mom & dad brought him up to visit us today (you know the guys were watching basketball) and we got some great shots of little man. He is such a good baby. And my friend Meredith was so patient while I tried new shots. Thanks for the fun afternoon, Little Z!

Johnathan

I really try not to take pictures of every kid that walks (or is carried) through our front door... but when your kid's eyes look like this little man's it's very hard for me not to. Seriously. And those cheeks. What a sweetie!

Jackson {aka Jackamo in the Hicks' House}

Jack and his dad came to watch some basketball today. I was taking Ellie & CeCe's pictures at the time so I snatched him up, put a plain onesie on him, and snapped his shot too. I love this kid. He is such a lover.
The P family was here tonight too. I got one picture of two of my favorite boys. I wont post it though (you're welcome, A! ha).

Sisters {CeCe & Ellie}

A sister is a forever friend.

{You cant get rid of her, even if you try.}

Matthew in the Spring

I was blessed to spend the afternoon with Matthew and his momma today (she's one of my friends that I beg to let me take pictures of their kids that actually agrees, ha).

And I know I should post sweet pictures like this one.
Or pictures of his contagious gap toothed grin.
Or even pictures that we tried to pose him for.

But my favorite thing about photographing Matthew is this.....
This little face full of personality.

I dare you to try to look at him without smiling.

Cracks me up. Every time.

Thanks for the fun afternoon, Matty J!

Bryse {sneak peek}

Meet Mr. Bryse.

He (and little miss alea) live in the same town as Mr. Maddox. I have a feeling they will be great buddies! I had so much fun with Bryse & Alea today. I'm so glad their mommies drove all the way here for me to meet them!

Alea {sneak peek}

Did I mention it is spring break week?
Did I mention I got to photograph two newborns today?

Meet little miss Alea. I worked with her daddy when I was in high school. Her mommy brought her to come see me today. What fun!

Double Cuteness

Wednesday some friends came over for dinner and I got to snap pictures of the girls for a project their momma is working on. It was dark out and the lighting was horrible and I was trying out new settings so I messed up a lot of pictures. Thankfully twins are cute no matter what! Especially when one is pouting and the other so sweetly talks her sister into taking pictures with her. Lots of love between these two!

More Isabelle

This beauty is going to be ONE very soon.
So of course I begged her mama to let me take her picture.
Then talked her mama into bringing the whole brood up to see us.
Then I took their pictures too. As quick as I could because her daddy wasn't real excited about it. ;)
And I know these photos haven't even made it out of iPhoto and into Photoshop yet (seriously, those eyes haven't even been to photoshop yet, and when they get there I wont be touching them!). I know I'm going to want to play with them (and about 300 others) even more in Photoshop.
But I'm not patient enough to finish editing before posting more.
And I was just sure you would want to see more of her too.

Because she's adorable.

Delightful.

Gorgeous.

And her family is pretty darn cute too!
AND just as fun as they look in photographs!
