I've always been the girl behind the camera and in 2009, people started paying me for it. I'm a teacher by trade but left the classroom to do photography full-time when our son was born in 2011. I take photos out of my home studio in Huxley, IA, the surrounding area, and travel when I'm available to. My favorite thing to photograph is life- the real and raw. I love vintage and some custom black/white but I always save (and usually prefer) the clean edit color version. My teaching and early childhood ed background has helped with my photography more than I would have imagined and I especially love that I now get to chase toddlers around for my job.
I also love exploring new to us areas/restaurants/venues with my husband. Going on climbing/splashing/digging/rock finding adventures with our son Beckett. Digging into Bible study (and an occasional craft night) with my friends. And family dinners (with uncle Doyle's homemade ice cream) with my family. I love decorating our home with things found on the curb and I'm always in the middle of a DIY project. My favorite room in the house is the kitchen. I collect kitchen gadgets, vintage cameras, washi tape, and high-fives. I'm inspired by God beauty all around me and I love capturing life's moments still in time.
I look forward to capturing life's moments with you!
